Justa Cowboy Association is an organization that promotes the sport of rodeo with the highest professional conduct and sportsmanship.

Our mission is to provide “good ole” entertainment for the entire family. The organization is committed to the preservation of the cowboy way of life and contributions of African American cowboys. Additionally, the organization likes to carry on the cowboy tradition of "passing the hat" in support of scholarships for local students.

Rodeo has become one of the fastest growing sports among men, women and children. Economically, it has become big business throughout the United States. In many areas such as Birmingham, the boost in local retail sales during rodeo season stems partly from the rodeo spectators and rodeo participants coming to town. The individuals purchase items such as food, gas, and personal items; stay in local hotels or motels, and attend local events. Also, much of the cost of producing the rodeo is spent with local businesses on advertising, labor, printing, and vendors.

Local citizens also add to the boost in retails sales, since they often purchase western clothing, rodeo tickets and concession items.
